Story...
Our lives changed dramatically in 2021 when we had the opportunity to take over our grandfather's farm, which had been in the family for over 200 years. This farm truly transformed our lives! Our goal was, and still is, to revive the small farm and save it from the wave of farm closures.
We completed our agricultural training at night school and took back some of the leased land. Thanks to help from relatives, the equipment was quickly ready for use and the old hay barn was once again filled with fresh hay bales.
In September 2023, five miniature Galloways from northern Germany found a new home with us and have been helping us maintain the steep slopes of our farm ever since. This breed is perfectly suited to managing our nature reserve areas and therefore also to our small, part-time farm.
